As a Professor of Human Resources at Seneca College in Toronto, Azhar brings both academic expertise and real-world consulting experience to his work. Azhar is the author of two acclaimed books that showcase his commitment to storytelling and community building. Journey To Home: Canadian Immigrant and Refugee Stories of Hope and Courage captures the authentic experiences of newcomers to Canada, earning widespread praise from business and community leaders for its honest portrayal of the immigrant journey. His earlier work, Confessions of a Dad: My Kids Don’t Understand the Value of Money, addresses the critical need for financial literacy among young adults.

Through his weekly Substack newsletter Dad Logic -Pretending to know everything since 1992 – Azhar shares practical wisdom and insights with a growing community of readers. The newsletter reflects his approachable style and commitment to making complex topics accessible.

Azhar was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and visits often.
